Bach, who terminated his front-man days of Skid Row to star on Broadway in The Rocky Horror show and host VH1's Forever Wild series, would have no doubt dumped his date had he crossed paths with Sasha Lazard, the blond and beautiful "hip, operatic" diva who later sang live at the Delano. She quit her daily-grind journalist job to study singing at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, then moved to New York to enter the starving-artist scene. now she has the right band, a new album (Myth of Red), the right gigs (the Delano normally has a strict policy against live performance acts in the lobby, but Ian and Rita Schrager love her) and a contract with Higher Octave/EMI.
